My interests are in 19th Century French Literature and more particularly popular culture during the first part of the Century (Restauration and Monarchie de Juillet), My specialization is the representation of Grisettes in literature.
My secondary specializations are Francophone Literature and Fantasy/Science-Fiction literature. I teach a class on this genre and I am working, with a colleague (Dr. Anne Berthelot, UConn), on a book on Narratives of Magic in Fantasy Literature.
